QUICK EAGLE NETWORKS MAKES TACACS+ AVAILABLE

Enhanced security feature implemented on DL3150 Access Multiplexer platform – other platforms to follow soon

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – May 7, 2007 - Quick Eagle Networks, Inc., a leading provider of integrated WAN access solutions, today announced that it has implemented TACACS+ as an enhanced security feature on its DL3150 and DL3155 Access Multiplexers™. The new feature was developed based on requests from a variety of Quick Eagle’s customers in the financial industry.

Quick Eagle’s DL3150 and DL3155 Access Multiplexers make high-speed data connectivity more economical by enabling customers to connect their data terminal equipment (DTE) devices to a public or private T3 / E3 network at full or sub-rate speeds. Both units support symmetric and asymmetric data rates of up to 34.2 Mbps (in 358 Kbps increments for E3) or 44.2 Mbps (in 300 Kbps increments for T3). With a software selectable T3 / E3 network interface the DL3150 and DL3155 enable worldwide deployment. It just takes the customer a stroke of a key to change between the T3 and E3 firmware.

The DL3150 Access Multiplexer provides one HSSI data interface to the DTE, while the DL3155 Access Multiplexer comes equipped with two HSSI data interfaces. The second HSSI port on the DL3155 enables customers to take advantage of multiplexing capabilities. An Ethernet management port as well as a serial console port provide additional options for you to manage the devices besides SNMP management and Telnet capabilities.

“When we heard about the need for enhanced security from our multiple financial institutions, we decided quickly to accommodate these customer requirements,” said Naresh C. Kapahi, chief executive officer and president at Quick Eagle. “Considering the overall demand for increased security in many of applications, it become essential for us to make this new feature available as soon as possible.”

The DL3150’s and DL3155’s TACACS+ capabilities offer an enhanced security feature (special firmware version) to provide centralized validation of users, who attempt to gain access to routers, network access servers, etc. The TACACS+ feature provides modular authentication, authorization, and accounting facilities in conjunction with the user’s central TACACS+ server.

Initially, the TACACS+ feature will be available on the DL3150 and DL3155 Access Multiplexers. At a later stage, Quick Eagle will offer the same feature on its 4210 CSU/DSU™, 4215 Dual CSU/DSU™, and all its NxT1/E1 routers.
