QUICK EAGLE NETWORKS ENHANCES ITS ADSL2+ ROUTER FIRMWARE
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – April 18, 2007
- Quick Eagle Networks, Inc., a leading provider of integrated WAN access solutions, today announced significant enhancements to the firmware of its DL700 and DL710 ADSL2+ Routers™.
Quick Eagle’s DL700 ADSL2+ Router and DL710 ADSL2+ Router are designed specifically for the small business and remote office market. The DL700 and DL710 are compliant with all ADSL standards (ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, ADSL2+ Annex M, and RE ADSL), which enables end users to migrate to the newer standards once they become available without having to “forklift-upgrade” the existing equipment. Features such as an 802.11g wireless access point, Quality of Service for traffic prioritization and bandwidth management, secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities with a powerful 3DES acceleration, stateful inspection firewall, and sophisticated management and diagnostic tools differentiate the DL700 and DL710 from residential ADSL equipment. Compared with the DL700 ADSL2+ Router, the DL710 ADSL2+ Router comes in addition with two FXS and one FXO port to enable Voice over IP applications.
"We have had great success with the introduction of our all-in-one ADSL2+ router products a couple of years ago," said Naresh C. Kapahi, chief executive officer and president at Quick Eagle. "The latest firmware enhancements for the DL700 and DL710 ADSL2+ Routers are a testament for our commitment to develop network equipment that delivers on the promise of performance and wealth of functionality.”
The latest firmware release, includes new features such as
- IM/P2P blocking function
- Support of up to four Wireless Distribution Systems
- Improved Ethernet driver performance for video packet pass-through in IPTV applications
